Trim Levels of the 2020 Kia Soul
The 2020 Kia Soul is a compact hatchback that brings together versatility, comfort, and even impressive performance into one small package. Whether you only have yourself to contend with or you have a family to transport, the Kia Soul could be an enticing option. This year, for the first time, there are six Trim Levels of the 2020 Kia Soul. Though they share quite a few similarities, each trim brings something a little different to the table. Today we’re going to detail some of the features you’ll find on the Kia Soul, including some found only on certain trim levels. Let us get right in.
2020 Kia Soul Performance Features and Trim Levels
The 2020 Kia Soul comes standard with a 2.0L dual overhead camshaft 16-valve in-line four-cylinder engine, and though it isn’t what most people what call high-performance, it is plenty to get the job done for this specific vehicle. The base model LX, one of many Trim Levels of the 2020 Kia Soul, comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, and has instead has an intelligent variable automatic transmission as an option rather than the standard feature it is on all other trim levels apart from the high-performance GT-Line Turbo.
Beyond the LX, the only only trim level with significantly different performance specs is the GT-Line Turbo. This trim features a 1.6L turbocharged engine and is able to reach up to 201-horsepower with 195 lb.-ft. of torque. The GT-Line Turbo also features a seven-speed dual clutch transmission, making it the choice for those who want a little extra kick to their Soul.
Trim Level Safety Features of the 2020 Kia Soul
With the Kia Soul, you’ll be able to have access to a number of active and passive safety features to improve your drive. Standard on every Kia Soul, you will find safety features like electronic stability control and brake-force distribution, front seat belt pretensioners, hill-start assist control, and vehicle stability management. There are full-length side curtain airbags, dual front seat-mounted side airbags, and dual front advanced airbags. There’s also a rearview camera that gives you improved visibility while you are in reverse.
Beyond these standard features, there are additional safety features that are available on some trim levels. Stay on the lookout for features like rear cross-traffic collision alert, standard in the S, X-Line, EX and GT-Line Turbo trim levels, and lane keeping assist, found in the S, GT-Line, EX and GT-Line Turbo trims. The 2020 Kia Soul takes safety seriously, just like it should.

Other standard features found on the Soul include power locks and windows, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, and a day/night rear view mirror.
Past the standard features you’ll find in the vehicle, there are many features that are found only on some trim levels. These features include heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, LED interior lighting and more. The S, GT-Line and EX trim levels feature a premium tricot cloth seat trim, while the GT-Line Turbo features a SOFINO and cloth seat trim with distinctive red coloring.
